Job Title
- I am fourth grade teacher at Lake Harbor Middle School in Mandeville, Louisiana.
Key responsibilities
- Fourth grade is self-contained at LHMS so I teach all subjects.
- Fourth grade is of course a LEAP year so a lot of energy is put into this.
- I also do the school yearbook, which is a lot of fun!

Biographical Information
- I was born and raised in the Mandeville area (about 30 miles north of New Orleans). I graduated from Mandeville High School in 1999, and I received my bachelor's in elementary education (1-8) from LSU in May 2003. Geaux Tigers!!! At LSU, I was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
- I have been teaching for 6 years. I started as a 6th grade math and science teacher at Mandeville Middle School, and the following year I was given the opportunity to move down to 4th grade! I love it! Two years ago, my mom was named principal at Mandeville Middle School, so I was asked to move schools. Now I am at Lake Harbor Middle School (just down the road!), still teaching fourth grade, and still loving it!
- I have been married for over four years to my wonderful husband, Joel. He is a Washington state native, who has thankfully agreed to stay here in Louisiana (I am not a cold weather girl!!) We have two beautiful daughters who keep us busy! Elle' will turn 3 in December, and Ava is 7 months. I love being a mom!
